Such lovely weather we had this past Easter Sunday. A little rain a little sleet a little snow a bit more rain a bit more snow and a tiny, tiny speck of sunlight! Yes it was a typical Easter here in Illinois as the ids once again hunted eggs during a shower of sleet and snow. At least this year we are only still missing two hidden eggs. I figure I will find them when we mow the yard! My grandmother always said “If it rains on Easter Sunday we will have seven Sundays of rain in a row.” wonder if this year we have seven Sundays in a row with a winter mix?! a few years back one of our local university did a study on this “old Wives Tail” and discovered that eight out of every ten times, in the history of keep track of the weather, that if it rained on Easter Sunday we did indeed have at least seven Sundays of rain in a row. But of course they decided that this was just our local rainy season so we should think anything about the wives tail. Well I don’t know about you but the old wives tails are more interesting than the University studies!
I thought I would share a few photos of my nieces and little cousin from yesterdays Easter hunting escapade!
