My new laptop has arrived, and a few customer quilts!

Well the new laptop has arrived, and i have almost got everything loaded that i need and a few things that i don’t need but think i want anyway! I went with a HP HDX with a 18.4″ screen. Yap it may be over kill but i do use my laptop daily to watch DVD’s why  I’m working so i figured the large screen would come in handy. That my story and i am sticking to it! I also have a Blue-Ray DVD but i have no Blue-Ray disk’s to try in it. Maybe I’ll pick up a couple sometime and see if it really makes a difference but for now I’ll stick to my regular old DVD collection!

Ok i haven’t been able to post any customer quilts in some time, and i have been asked to update that part of the blog. Only problem is i have just uploaded 48 photos to my WebShots page! So what I’m going to do is post some small photos and you can click on them to go see a large view as well as other views of the same quilt. Most quilts have at least two photos but some have a lot more!

Customer quilts from June & July

Man has it been a nut house here! Things popping up time and time again that have been keeping me to busy to post anything on this blog or my crochet blog. I wouldn’t go into it right now but i promise i will sort things out for all that wish to know, sometime this weekend…. I hope!

Until then, I have updated my Webshots page with a new Album for June & July. I am not going to post all the photos, just a few faves. But if you want to take a look you can find them all here: June & July Customer Quilting!

Now here are a few favorite quilts from the past couple of months!

Some More Customer Quilts

Nothing much happening here, i have been very busy doing everything but what i really need to do… work! Anyway i have a few photo to share with you. There are a few quilts i have quilted in the past two weeks that are missing. The quilt maker has asked that i not post photos of her quilts as she is going to be giving them as gifts and does not want the soon to be owners seeing the quilts beforehand.

First is a couple of quilts made by Ann S. The First is called African Dreams. The fabric came from a family members trip to Africa. When she first saw it she said she was a bit unsure about what could be done with it, but i think she did a great job on this small wall quilt!Quilted with a black thread, in simple designs and outline the figures helps to not take to much away from the special fabric.  The second quilt reminds me of a Round Robin quit, but in this case she made it all herself! Lots of C., some swirls, and a few twisted feathers quilted in a dark cream thread. There are more close ups of this quilt in my Webshots February album!

This is a Irish Chain, made by Carol T. White thread was used to quilt C.C.’s in the chains, with loops and swirls everywhere else.

And finally we have a Watercolor quilt in a trip around the world setting. I have to admit i do not have the makers name in front of me now but i will edit this post in the morning with her name!Lavender thread, nearly disappears so it is a bit hard to see the swirls and feathering int he main body of the quilt, and the leaves on the border but trust me they are there!
