Weekend Quilting!
I was able to get in a little customer quilting time in over the weekend and I thought I would share!
This quilt was made from the Local Shop Hop 2007 Quilt Blocks. Valerie W. made the blocks and designed the setting. Now normally I hate to see another Shop Hop quilt walk in the door. They all look alike and to be honest with you after quilting the 8th or 9th one I get a bit tired of looking at them! So when I was told that Valerie had a Shop Hop quilt for me to quilt for her I felt like crawling into a very deep hole and pretending to not be around. Imagine my surprise when I saw this quilt come out of the bag! Most of the Shop Hop Quilts are set on point with alternating pieced blocks with a solid square of fabric sometimes with a sashing between the blocks sometimes not & simple solid borders just to make them big enough. Valerie went way beyond that with her version, and if I must say she did a amazing job with it! And that braided border sets everything off! There are a few more views of this quilt including some views of the back, in my WebShots Album.
This quilt was made by Valerie’s Mother, Kathy S. from a Thimbleberries block of the month class she attended last year. Samplers are a favorite of mine, I love to be able to quilt lots of different designs on the same quilt and samplers let me do just that! I have only posted a couple of photo but if you click on a photo it will take you to my WebShots Album were you can see 19 different photos of this quilt!
It’s Wednesday!
Boy did today go fast! Wonder if that had anything to do with my oversleeping this morning and getting up a couple of hours late???
Anyway… here are the photos from today’s work! The First is A Shop Hop Quilt from last year, made by Alice B. I have quilted a few of these so they are starting to get a bit repetitive, honestly I really hope this is the last one I have to look at! The white “lines” you see are chalk, so don’t panic!![]()

The second quilt today was a t-shirt quilt that was made by Doloris M. I believe that it is going to end up in Mississippi ( I think! ) She wanted some words quilted into the sashing, I have showed a couple of these areas in the photos and I also included a photo of the backing.
